The Gourmet Belle is also a proud champion of the many diverse boutique wineries (those lovingly crafted little gems that you won't find on the bottle shop shelves) and small wine and food producers across Australia and the globe. After all, this is where the real character, story and passion behind wine and food can be found.

A little bit about me...
My professional background is in business management and marketing and, for ten years, I worked as an IT project management and procurement specialist. As 'glamorous' as this sounds, it did not prevent me from 'moonlighting' in the wine industry.
Over the years I have worked in a variety of roles, primarily as a host and co-ordinator of wine events and education sessions and as a partner in The Grape Hunter - a comprehensive online resource for the wine, food and hospitality industries and their consumers as well as an online wine store.
I am also a passionate (and experimental) cook, wine and food writer, web designer, traveller and eternal, 'would-be' Master of Wine student (perhaps one day I will be able to append 'MW' to the end of my name).
At the end of 2010, I finally ditched the day job, 'got real' and launched The Gourmet Belle; allowing me to bring business together with my passions for wine, food and travel.
The Gourmet Belle has actually been many years in the making - the product of a life's passion. I want to share this passion with you and share the wealth of wine and food knowledge that I have acquired during my eternal journey of gourmet discovery.
I am also extremely excited to share my favourite gourmet goodies with you! The Gourmet Belle is not affiliated with any one distributor, brand or producer. Therefore, I have the freedom to share a wide and varied range of my favourite products; all of which have been personally tasted (lucky me) and heartily endorsed.
At the end of the day, I'm a nerd. And, like all nerds, I am always doggedly gathering information about the things I am passionate about. Over the years, I have amassed a nice little cache of wine and food knowledge. And nothing gives me more joy than sharing my gourmet discoveries with other wine and food lovers.
That is what The Gourmet Belle is all about.
